Why can't I be black?

If I could change one thing about myself, it would probably, most definitely be my race. I don't really know how to say that without it sounding bad. It's not that I have any problem with being white, I would just prefer to not be white....? Let's face it, white skin is boring. For some reason that I have no acceptably rational explanation for, I would feel a lot cooler if I were mixed, black, Indian, etc. A big part of why I'd really enjoy being black is probably how much I respect and LOVE Beyonce. She's one of my absolute favorite artists, and my feelings get hurt when people don't like her music..call me crazy, because I am. Crazy in Love y'all.

SOPA.....?

SOPA was NOT going to succeed from the very start if you want my opinion. Too extreme, and majority of the public, which is kind of a lot of people, absolutely hated the idea of this 'act' even being a remote possibility. Not to anyone's surprise, I'm sure, there was a petition with 3,000,000+ signatures just days after the idea had been presented. It amuses the heck out of me that the upset of this new danger was so massive. Of course, I guess if it hadn't been, this thing would've been more of a possible reality. Thank God for people who love the internet as much as they do.

The Moth Podcast

I've never been one to listen to and download podcasts. Youtube's definitely my thing. I didn't know what to think of this podcast at first. It was under the comedy category, and it didn't sound like it was going to be funny at all. My hopes weren't too high, but I wanted to give it a chance. It fit its description exactly; engaging, funny, touching. Sure, it wasn't the kind of humor that makes you laugh obnoxiously, but it was real people telling real stories about their lives. Once I started listening, I was indeed engaged and wanted to know how the story would end. It's probably not a podcast that I would follow religously, but it's different, and it definitely had my attention.

I guess I consider myself lucky.

I'm not allergic to anything. Never have been, and hopefully never will be(though I'm not completely sure you can develop an allergy? One of those useful bits of information that I've repeatedly failed to remember to acquire or retain, really bothering me every time I'm reminded that I still don't know the answer). I've fairly recently discovered that, apparently, the yeast on the surface of my skin has a reaction to sun exposure, causing discoloration, dryness, and irritation(gross, right?). However, it's not an allergic one. I used to want to be allergic to something, anything, because I thought that it would be just the coolest. But I've become okay with not being allergic to anything. I've found that there are some things of a little bit more importance out there. Just a little, though.
